Ethel L. Anderson passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Visalia in the afternoon of January 23, 2023. She was 101 years old.

Ethel was full of life and interested in her family and friends. She loved receiving mail and visitors.

Ethel was born on May 26, 1921 in West Enosburg, Vermont to Guy and Ella (Houghton) Green.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold Green and wife, Joyce, Oakley Green and wife, Gladys and sister, Bernice and husbands Fred Russell and James D'ambrosio and her husband Ralph F. Anderson. Also one grandson, Nathan Anderson.

Ethel is survived by her four children, Doris and husband, Ron Burgess, Bruce Anderson and wife Bonnie, of Oden Utah, Roy Anderson and Eric Anderson and wife, Debra of Clovis, Ca.there are 9 surviving much beloved grandchild­ren: Laura Anderson, Alan Anderson and wife, Brandy, Danniese and husband, Curtis Williams, Kristina Anderson, Kevin Anderson all of Utah. Elliott Burgess of Michigan, Ellery P. Burgess and wife, Sherie of Portervill­e Ca. Hannah and husband, Daniel Sutherland and Ben Anderson in Clovis, Ca. There are 12 greatgrand­children and two great-great grandchild­ren. Also many cherished nieces and nephews and their spouses.

Ethel worked on the family farm. Graduated in 1941 and started working at Bosch Industries in Massachuse­tts. She was a chauffeur and volunteere­d for Civil Defense duty. In 1944 joined the Woman's Army Air Corps (WAAC). She met M. Sgt .Ralph Anderson in Colorado Springs and married 3 weeks later. Lived in Massachuse­tts and Vermont before moving to Portervill­e Ca. in 1959.

Her life was lived in service to others, family, housekeepe­r and home care for many. She worked as a school crossing guard and active in the Methodist Church, PTA (life member), Cub Scout Leader (3times), Girl Scouts, Eastern Star, AARP and VFW Auxiliary. Supported the Portervill­e Union High School Band and Monache High School Band. Ethel and Ralph traveled all over the United State in various RV'S and tour groups. Her biggest honor was the Military Honor Flight from Fresno to Washington, DC. Accompanie­d by her son, Major Eric Anderson, Ret.

There will be a viewing Jan. 31, 2023 at 3- 7pm at Myers Funeral Home. Graveside services Feb. 1, 2023 at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 11am
