To all of those who were honored at the Lindsay Chamber of Commerce’s 109th awards ceremony, “Rise of the Phoenix: Jeff Munter, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award, a well-deserved honor; Mayra Magallanes for New Business of the Year for Mi Raza Es Primero; Webb Sanders and Smith Funeral Homes, Business of the Year; Foothill Rotary of Lindsay, Organization of the Year; Lieutenant Nicholas Nave, Public Safety Employee of the Year; Ashlee Parker, Employee of the Year; Jayne Denni, Volunteer of the Year.
Lindsay Chamber of Commerce president Roxanne Serna, Citizen of the Year’; Cameron Dunbar, Male Youth of the Year; Jennifer Gonzalez Espinoza, Female Youth of the Year; Danny Salinas, Man of the Year; Stephanie Velasquez Orosco, Woman of the Year.
To the cast and all those responsible for the outstanding production of “Harold and Maude,” now playing at the Barn Theater.
To the Sequoia National Forest, whose vision is finally complete with the opening of its headquarters on Morton where the Henrahan Work Center is located. It was planned all along for the headquarters to be located there.
To Disney Fam Jam executive producer Phil Wright for his willingness to teach youth at Sensations Baton and Dance and for all those who made it possible.
To Stella Velasquez who was honored by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office as the 2023 Dispatcher of the Year.
To the Porterville Police Department’s Tina Lozano on her retirement. Lozano worked 25 years as an emergency dispatcher and is affectionately known as Code-3 Tina.
