Elvira Ramirez Maldonado Aug. 19, 1935 - Jan. 24, 2023
It is with a sad and heavy heart that our family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Elvira Ramirez Maldonado who is now with our Lord, Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving husband and children on January 24, 2023. She will always be loved, missed dearly, and forever in our hearts.
Elvira was born in Galeana, Michoacán Mexico. She came to Porterville, CA in 1966 with her husband and family where they raised their 8 children while working in agriculture.
Elvira was a devoted Catholic and wife who loved her husband and family, always praying over them. Her highlights were family gatherings and looking forward to the grandchildren's visits, especially kissing the babies tummies. She loved Antonio Aguilar's music and movies, and shopping with her daughters with Hobby Lobby being her favorite store. She always enjoyed spending time in her garden tending to her roses.
Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Soledad Ramirez, sisters Maria Lopez, Guadalupe Lara, Rosa Espino, and Aurora Magaña, and brothers Jose Ramirez, Olegario Ramirez, and Francisco Ramirez.
Elvira is survived by her husband of 70 years, Mamerto Maldonado, her children Maria Maldonado, Jose (Laura) Maldonado, Ana (Frank) Ohnesorgen, Juana (Larry) Gray, Romana (Alex) Bracamontes, Rosalva (Rene Jr.) Martinez, Hilda (Derek) Delk, Michael (Jenny) Maldonado; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Myers Funeral Home A Visitation will be held at Myers Funeral Chapel, Porterville, California on Sunday, February 12th, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Rosary will be held at Myers Funeral Chapel, Porterville, California on February 12th, 2023 at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church, Porterville, California on Monday, February 13th, 2023 at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Porterville, California.
