Jerry Glen Tillery Jr.

Jerry Glen Tillery, Jr., 59, of Porterville, CA, passed away suddenly, in his home on September 1, 2020.

He was born July 13, 1961 in San Jose, California. He was the second eldest of five children.

Jerry was preceded in death by his infant son Johnathon Michael Tillery and his mother Carolyn Joyce Tillery. His father Jerry Tillery, Sr., passed away February 22, 2023 after a short illness.

Jerry is survived by his sister Delinda J. Gaither (Rodney P. Deshields), brothers Anthony (Philip) Tillery, Steven K. Tillery and Daniel R. Tillery all of Porterville, CA; his children, Jerry Tillery (Danette) of Windermere, Florida; Kayde Moss of Corcoran, CA and Krista Tillery of Tulare, CA; grandchildren Triston, Hannah, Talitha, Caleb, Harlen, Sarah and Sutton and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry lived a full life. He graduated from Monache High School in Porterville, CA in 1979. He was active in sports. After high school he joined the Army.

He loved telling jokes and had many interesting stories. Jerry was well liked. He had many friends and never met a stranger. He loved to fish and talked often of taking his grandkids fishing. He loved football and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, which was his favorite team. He enjoyed going to the Eagles club where he participated in their activities and visited with his many friends. His best friend was his brother Philip whom he saw and spoke to every day.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jerry will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
