PORTSMOUTH — City Clerk Kelli Barnaby has scheduled several opportunit­ies for residents to register to vote before the municipal election Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Voter registrati­on events for Portsmouth residents are scheduled for the following locations and times:

● Saturday, Sept. 30, 8 a.m. to noon, at Portsmouth Farmers Market, City Hall, 1 Junkins Ave.

● Wednesday, Oct. 4, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Portsmouth Public Library, 75 Parrott Ave.

● Thursday, Oct. 19, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Citywide Neighborho­od Committee meeting, City Hall Conference Room A, 1 Junkins Ave. for a voter registrati­on presentati­on.

● Tuesday, Oct. 24, 4 to 5:30 p.m., at Portsmouth Public Library, 75 Parrott Ave.

Prior to the Nov. 7 election, Portsmouth residents may also register or make changes to their voter registrati­on until Saturday, Oct. 28, at City Hall, 1 Junkins Ave. The Board of Registrars will be available from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, in the City Hall lobby. The city clerk’s office in City Hall will accept voter registrati­on and changes through Friday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m. For informatio­n, contact the city clerk’s office at 603-610-7245 or 603610-7208.

Absentee ballot applicatio­ns for the municipal election will be available from the city clerk’s office after the filing period closes.
