Public invited to hear I Got Bridged founder Freddy Petrone speak

PORTSMOUTH - The Portsmouth Lions Club is inviting the public to hear the founder of local non-profit I Got Bridged founder Freddy Petrone speak at its meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 26. All are welcome to attend the Lions Club meeting to learn about Petrone’s nonprofit. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Portsmouth Public Library in the Hilton Garden Inn room. Attendance is free, but an RSVP is requested by emailing Club President Amy Pruszenski at harbordoc@aol.com.

DOVER — On Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. take the mystery out of Medicare and get all your questions answered at the Dover Public Library. This informativ­e class, taught by Tim Harrigan, will help you understand the basics of Medicare in relatable, easy-to-understand language and provide you with the tools you will need to determine the best plan for you.

Greenland Rummage Sale

GREENLAND — Clear out your clutter, or pick up some unexpected treasures. The annual rummage sale returns to the Greenland Community Parish House at 44 Post Road, Greenland, with a large selection of clothes you can pick up for $6 per Bag. Bags will be provided. Other items will be priced as marked. Sandwiches, desserts, drinks will be available for purchase. Rummage drop-offs will be on Wednesday, Sept. 27, starting at 10 a.m. The sale will take place on Thursday, Sept. 28 from noon to 7 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to noon.

National Good Neighbor Day

PORTSMOUTH — On Saturday, Sept. 30 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., come celebrate 400 years of Community Kindness and enjoy watching the lanterns float on the South Mill Pond, all while raising thousands of dollars for the Seacoast Mental Health Center. Join the Alliance’s Community Kindness Campaign by purchasing lanterns, becoming a kindness champion, and/or joining them at the Lantern Festival. Champions movie showing & ABLE NH Discussion
