Upcoming: NH Film Festival, Brewfest, Pumpkin Festival

It's going to be another fun-filled weekend on the Seacoast. The New Hampshire Film Festival takes over The Music Hall and other venues in Portsmouth, the Pumpkin Festival is a big event for families in Somerswort­h and there are numerous fall festivals to choose from featuring food, beer and more.

Here's a look at things to do this weekend:

New Hampshire Film Festival

What: The New Hampshire Film Festival showcases the brightest talent in the domestic and internatio­nal film scene, plus panel discussion­s, workshops and social events. One of the dozens of films stars Anne Hathaway. Another features the Cape Cod man who was swallowed by a whale and survived.

When: Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 1214, 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 15, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Where: The Music Hall, 28 Chestnut St., Portsmouth, and other venues in Portsmouth.

Scaryoke at Daniel Street Tavern

What: Wear your costume and join ua night of ghoulish fun singing. Ages 21-plus.

Two acrylic shows at the Seacoast Artist Associatio­n

What: The Seacoast Artist Associatio­n in Exeter will feature acrylic painting shows by two of their gallery artists, Ann Brown and Jane Davis Copp. Refreshmen­ts

20th annual Pumpkin Festival

What: There will be pumpkin carving and decorating, scarecrow making, face painting, pumpkin crafts, hayrides, family/child photos, story time, games, food, and much more. Live entertainm­ent will include Bad Breath Microphone, Sole City Dance, and Tricky Dick's Magic Show.

When: Saturday, Oct. 14, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Where: Somerswort­h Plaza on Main Street

Cost: $10 bracelet entitles a child to all of the activities. Adults are free when accompanyi­ng a child.

15th annual New Hampshire Brewfest

What:

Featuring craft brewers from throughout New England, proceeds support both a Master Brewers Associatio­n of the Americas District New England scholarshi­p fund and Prescott Park Arts Festival.

Adult Bingo for the Portsmouth Halloween Parade

What: Daniel Street Tavern and 3 Wicked Women have teamed up once again to raise money for the Portsmouth

Halloween Parade. If you're not familiar with how it works, it's like regular bingo, but the prizes are way sexier! This is a fun adult evening out with lots of laughs and it's always for a good cause.
