Cider Flights & Tasty Bites: A grown up fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire

DOVER — The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is offering a unique, grown-up-only, fundraisin­g event this spring. Tickets are on sale now for “Cider Flights & Tasty Bites” happening Saturday, March 23 from 7-9 p.m. (6:30 p.m. entry for VIP ticket holders) which is a special collaborat­ion with North Country Hard Cider Company. The event, hosted at the Children’s Museum amongst its two floors of handson, interactiv­e exhibits, will feature tasty four-ounce locally crafted cider pours from North Country Hard Cider paired with tasty bites from local restaurant­s. A portion of each ticket sold will benefit The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s exhibits and programs. Active Retirement Associatio­n general meeting

DURHAM — The Active Retirement Associatio­n announces a free General Meeting on Monday, March 18, from 23:30 p.m., at the Durham Evangelica­l Church (lower level), 114 Dover Road, Durham. The featured speaker is popular historian and lecturer J. Dennis Robinson who will present, “Case Closed on the 1873 Smuttynose Ax Murders.” The meeting and presentati­on are open to the public; registrati­on is not required. Light refreshmen­ts will be served. You are encouraged to bring non-perishable foods and personal care items to support area food pantries. Cash donations will also be accepted.

DOVER — On Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m. at the Dover Public Library. Artificial Intelligen­ce Chapter 3: Diving into ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and more. Discussing terminolog­y and various use cases of AI technologi­es.

Family Game Night

DOVER — On Wednesday, March 20 at 6 p.m. join the Dover public Library to play a fun selection of card & board games and meet other board game enthusiast­s in the community. You’re also welcome to bring your own games. All ages welcome.

Save Money, Protect Health, Cut Waste

DOVER — On Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dover Public Library, learn practical options to save money while you cut waste. DES expert Paige Wilson will explain options to transform food waste at home or via drop-off at the Dover recycling center. Our Dover Plastic Reduction Group will highlight convenient choices in groceries, home and personal products that help you protect health and cut waste while you save money too. Prizes will be awarded.

After Hours Egg Hunt

DOVER — On Friday, March 22 at 5:30 p.m. teens in grades 6-12 are invited to an after-hours egg hunt inside the Dover Public Library. We’ll start by searching for glow-in-the-dark eggs around the main floor of the library, then finish with pizza. Bring your own basket or tote bag to collect your eggs with. Registrati­on required.

Family Fort Night

PORTSMOUTH — On Friday, March 22, from 6-8 p.m. at the Portsmouth Public Library, bring your favorite fort building supplies and build a family campout somewhere in the library after we close to the public. Hang out, play games, read books and explore! Join the group for a special campout storytime followed by glow-stick hide-andseek.

Get Ready for Baby! Hatchlings: Ready to Hatch

DOVER — On Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at the Dover Public Library, Hatchlings: Ready to Hatch is an interactiv­e early literacy program for expectant parents. Learn more about your baby-to-be through songs and fun activities. Free book and song sheets plus refreshmen­ts. Space is limited, register early. For expectant parents only for this session.

Don’t Be Blinded by the Light: Eclipse Watching Safety

PORTSMOUTH — On Saturday, March 23, from 2-3 p.m. Curious about this year’s total solar eclipse? New Hampshire is in the path of totality this April 8th. Come to the Portsmouth Public Library to learn all about the beautiful phenomenon of eclipses. We will discuss the science behind lunar and solar eclipses, how to view eclipses safely, and where & when to watch on April 8. Registrati­on is required. Each individual or family who attends will receive a pair of eclipse glasses.
