Field, Marlies

Age 78, formerly of Hobart, IN passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2014. She was born on May 31, 1936 in Budingen, Germany to Fredrich and Mathilde (Jockel) Frank, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Shelley of Loris, SC; sons, Michael (Lisa) Field of Hobart, Jeffrey Field of Cordova, AK; daughters, Gwen (Bill Caylor) Field of Hobart, Jill (Jeffrey) Campbell of Hamburg, MI; stepson, Ronnie (Susan) Shelley of Conway, SC; sister, Inge Frank of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, DJ, Michael, Joshua, Rachel, Justin, Robert; great-grandchildren, Alex, Aisha, Lily and a host of loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Robert Field; stepfather, Vernon Rage.

Marlies was a member of Central Baptist Church of Portage. She was an accomplished professional seamstress and also enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling. Marlies loved being with her family and enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368, with Pastor Richard Brown officiating. Burial of ashes will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
