“SEAL Team” (8 p.m., CBS): This taut military drama returns for its fourth season, which opens with “God of War,” the first of a twopart premiere. As the action resumes, Bravo Team braves enemy territory in the snowy Spin Ghar Mountain Range to pursue and capture a terrorist leader who also is the son of a deadly foe Jason (David Boreanaz) took down early in his career. Under enemy fire, Jason and the team’s canine member get separated from the rest of Bravo Team. Bailey Chase and Parisa Fakhri guest star.

“88th Annual Christmas in Rockefelle­r Center” (7 p.m., NBC): One of the most anticipate­d rites of winter in the Big Apple, the annual tree-lighting ceremony in New York features performanc­es from a glittering array of entertaine­rs. Among those scheduled to perform are Dolly Parton, Meghan Trainor, Kelly Clarkson, Brett Eldredge, Tori Kelly, Goo Goo Dolls, Leslie Odom Jr., Dan & Shay, the cast of “Ain’t Too Proud — The Life and Times of The Temptation­s,” and the Radio City Rockettes.

“The Goldbergs” (7 p.m., ABC): A seasonally appropriat­e new episode called “Hanukkah on the Seas” finds Pop-Pop (George Segal) surprising the family with a group gift that probably seemed like a good idea at the time: a winter cruise to Canada.

“Coroner” (8 p.m., CW): All the Season 2 story lines converge in a suspensefu­l finale called “Fire Pt 2,” which finds Jenny and McAvoy (Serinda Swan, Roger Cross) caught up in a desperate race against the clock, rushing to confirm their darkest suspicions and theories of the case before an extremely dangerous subject gets away.

“Baby God” (8 p.m., HBO): First-time director Hannah Olson takes a shocking look at the work of a Las Vegas fertility specialist who guided many patients to pregnancy using his own sperm, often without their knowledge or consent. The documentar­y opens as retired detective Wendi Babst decides to explore her ancestry through a home DNA kit, which results in a startling discovery.

“black-ish” (8:30 p.m., ABC): Staying in touch with his roots always has been important to Dre (Anthony Anderson), so Junior (Marcus Scribner) hits a sore spot when he remarks that his father has turned into a “valley dad.” Determined to remedy that situation, Dre packs up the clan for a trip back to his hometown in the holiday-themed episode “Compton Around the Christmas Tree.” Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) seizes the moment to teach Jack and Diane (Miles Brown, Marsai Martin) about the gifting spirit by volunteeri­ng for Christmas projects.
