Williams, Annie Mae ‘Anna’

Annie Mae Williams “Anna” age 92 of Gary, Indiana died 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hobart, Indiana after an extended illness. She was born in Gary, Indiana on June 8, 1928 to John and Betty (Smith) Docks. She was united in holy matrimony to James “Jimmie” Williams in November 1947 in Crown Point, Indiana. They were blessed with two children, daughter Cynthia Williams-Pate of Crown Point, Indiana and son Curtis (Janice) Williams Sr. of Merrillville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by both parents John and Betty Docks. She was the youngest of five siblings preceding her in death, James Docks, Arthur Docks, Theodore Docks, Christine Holland and Buddy Docks. Her husband of 54 years, James “Jimmie” Williams preceded her in death May 3, 2002 and great-grandson Devin Mansker. She is survived by her children, daughter Cynthia Williams-Pate, son Curtis (Janice) Williams Sr., five grandchildren, Anton (Keisha) Mansker Sr., Curtis (Angela) Williams, Jennifer (Matthew) Green, Zuri Washington, and Imani Washington, twelve great-grandchildren, Anton Mansker Jr., Taylor Mansker, Gaven Mansker, Dylan Mansker, Cindy Mansker, Jakareon Williams, Xavier Williams, Alina Williams, Asher Green, Ezra Green, Emir-Josiah Williams, Evelynn Williams and many nieces and nephews. She was loved by all that knew her and will be missed. Visitation Saturday, January 16,2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 West 11th.
