Everyonebeware, this Rittenhouse verdict will unleash all of the gun-toting crazies to think THEY are the law now. Even our law enforcement officers are not safe from these fools.

The idea that people are actually cheering that a murderer was able to beat his charges

because of millionaires paying for his defense and an extremist judge working alongside the defense team is emblematic of the rotting spiral of our society. Killers used to spend the rest of their lives in prison, not walk the streets with innocent people.

So, we are allowed to murder people now,

as long as we are affiliated with a right-wing hate group?

Senator Mike Braun continues to show his obstructionist ways.

He is promising to vote against every federal spending measure, including funding for the military, if it doesn’t include money to continue building the wall on the Mexico border. He should have learned that that trick helped to derail Donald Trump, and will likely derail his political future too.

Trump had trouble controlling COVID-19 and Biden is having trouble controlling inflation.

So it would be a wash except that no one has lost their life because of inflation.

We have a rather large portion of society that has been convinced that their freedom has suddenly become jeopardized. The group that has convinced them of this are the same people that try to hold others captive, take away their voters rights, healthcare, education, unions, and voice. We are stuck in this hypocrisy.

Most of the features in the Build Back Better bill are already policy in nearly every other industrialized nation.

Support for child care, support for seniors that enables them to avoid being institutionalized and stay in their own homes, expansion of Medicare to cover dental, hearing, and vision. And more. But Republicans will fight tooth and nail to defeat all these measures, beginning with the fool who wants to be Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, delivering a rambling and hysterical nine-hour speech on Thursday night in order to delay a vote.

I too used to think that the Quickly Editor was a liberal due to the ratio of liberal views that were

printed, but then I realized that the Editor is really a conservative who prints all the far-fetched (and mostly unfactual) liberal views to keep the conservatives engaged so they will go out and vote in future elections.

You claim that 40% of Northwest Indiana votes Republican,

but most of them know better than to try to bribe a newspaper editor to print their comments. Especially after repeatedly berating, criticizing and threatening to never read this column again. But here you are. Did the “Fair and Balanced” place refuse to post your stuff too?

I strongly believe Quickly editors are more than fair and balanced in their selections of comments.

A writer complained that Quickly is biased against Republicans and their conservative views. The specific complaint is editors don’t print a fair share of positive conservative comments. I have said before you can’t select what is not sent! In fact, I suspect editors would love to receive more Republican quotes, questions, quips or comments. Readers are fed up with the Liberals-Dont-Work writer. Conservatives just aren’t writing much for anyone. In fact, reliable contacts tell us that moderate Republicans are so disgusted with the direction of their party until many have gone into hibernation. They are embarrassed and just want their nightmare to go away! I believe conservatives will submit more comments to the editors when the party starts acting more rational. Many feel the party has lost its way. Don’t blame Quickly editors for the detachment, disintegration and dissolution of support within the members of the Republican party. I haven’t met anyone yet who finds pleasure in commenting on their party when it is in disarray!

Instead of complaining about the workers who are striking for wage increases

that have barely kept pace with inflation, how about taking a look at the increases the CEOs of these corporations have gotten in the last 40 years. It seems you may have misplaced aggression.

A person blames Joe Biden for John Deere’s new contract.

Had nothing to do with Deere making record profits.

Leaves, leaves, leaves. There should be a law established that says when you clean up your leaves

your neighbors should do the same within 8 hours of your work.

If the wind is blowing, your neighbors should be required to complete their clean up within 3 hours. The law should also include a provision that says all piles of leaves placed in the parkway must be picked up on a daily basis. If winds are heavy, there should be two pick ups each day. I know I am dreaming! I will just wait until my neighbors rake their leaves. Sometimes it’s better to come in last!
