Hunt and Gather
Celebrating a decade of displays of treasures and wares for sale, the 10th annual Hunt and Gather Market is at 5-10 p.m. March 10 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 11 at Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point. This quarterly “pop-up” vendor table market not only has rare, vintage collectibles and décor for sale as well as antiques, but also a range of more than 150 curated artisan booths with one-of-a-kind finds. Shoppers enjoy live music and the option to enjoy a full bar and a gourmet food menu for purchase and to savor while browsing.
‘Pictures’ and piano
Pianist Michael Chertock is the featured guest artist set against a concert stage of visual history and photos for “Pictures at an Exhibition” at 3 p.m. March 12 at Holdcraft Performing Arts Center in Michigan City. As soloist Chertock performs Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto
No. 1 with the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra concluding the afternoon with Mussorgsky’s piece “Pictures at an Exhibition.” The afternoon event showcases an array of rare photographs and images displayed from the stage and depicting the symphony’s 50-year history.

The DeMotte funnyman returns to his Northwest Indiana roots for one performance at 6 p.m. March 11 at
