County Commissioners, Budget Board slate Monday morning meetings
Both the LeFlore County Commissioners and the LeFlore County Budget Board have slated Monday morning meetings at the LeFlore County Court House.
In the 9 a.m. County Commissioners meeting, the board will look, after having a public hearing about the matter, to approve vacating or closing a portion of Fish Hatchery Road near Hodgen.
As for other matters for the Commissioners, the board will look to approve the fiscal year 2023 contract renewal between LeFlore County and the State of Oklahoma Juvenile Affairs for Juvenile Detention, to possibly award a bid for a new truck to benefit the Haw Creek Fire Department through the possible aid of a Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) grant, to approve the contract between Eastern Oklahoma Youth Services and LeFlore County, to approve a tort claim filed by Kara Harrison for alleged tire damage as a result of Lakeview Drive road conditions, to approve a 2023 Blanket REAP Grant Applications and to approve the re-appointment of Wayne (Mike) Andrews and Leroy Billy to the LeFlore County Hospital Authority Board and the LeFlore County Sales Tax Supported Hospital Authority boards. The board also will look to see if the current burn ban needs to be continued. The Commissioners likely will approve purchase orders, payroll, bonds, monthly fee reports, transfer of appropriations, blanket purchase orders, contract labor/service agreements and the two ongoing bridge construction projects — one a mile east of Shady Point over the Poteau River and the other on Brazil Creek Road south of Oklahoma State Highway 31 and west of Shady Point. In the 8:30 a.m. Budget Board meeting, the board will look to approve request for a special appropriation(s) and to approve the request for transfer of funds.
