The annual Heavener Round-up Club Rodeo will be Friday and Saturday at the Cecil Leachman Arena in Heavener at 8 p.m. both days. The cost is $8 for attendees 13 and older and $5 for children ages 5-12 and free for children ages 4 and younger.
Events include saddle bronc, ranch bronc, bareback riding, tie-down roping, breakaway, team roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and bull riding. There will also be mutton bustin each night at 7 p.m., junior barrel racing, peewee barrel racing and a rodeo parade is 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Heavener. The Brave the Mud Run will be Aug. 20 at the LeFlore County Fairgrounds. Starting waves include competitive runners at 8 a.m., somewhat competitive at 8:10 a.m., sort of competitive at 8:15 a.m. and untimed fun loving at 8:20 a.m. The cost is $45, except for fun loving participants, who get $5 off. Wolf Ridge Country Club will have a oneperson scramble Saturday at 9 a.m. The cost is $25 per player and includes the cart. Registration is at 8 a.m.

LeFlore County Express Soccer will start its fall season on Sept. 10. Aug. 13 is the early registration deadline. Registration closes on Aug. 19. On Aug. 25, the league draft takes place. The Old Frisco Trail Half Marathon/15K will be Sept. 24, starting at 8 a.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center. The half marathon costs $45, and the 15K costs $40. Race day registration opens at 7 a.m. Sign up by Sept. 6 to get a T-shirt. Register online at runsignup.com.
There will be a 5K glow run on Sept. 23 at 8:30 p.m., starting at the Old Frisco Trail trailhead near Highway 59. The cost is $30 by Sept. 6, and $35 afterwards. Race day registration starts at 7:30 p.m.
