Girls basketball Howe dumps Vian

Howe (9-3), the fourthrank­ed team in Class 2A, won 80-35 at Vian on Monday.

Howe led 30-8 at the end of the first quarter, 4814 at halftime and 61-27 through three quarters.

Slatey Free led the way with 17 points while Gracie Lute had 13, Breanna Wann had 11, Kylie Smith had 10, Kadynce Delt had eight, Karsyn Nye had six and Abby Huie and Jurnee Williams had five.

Lute had posted 16 points while Jurnee Williams and Ashlynn Dalton had 15 each in Howe’s 80-45 win at Westville on Friday.

Howe lost 56-46 at Oktaha, the 10th-ranked team in Class 2A, on Tuesday.

The girls in red and white trailed 19-10 at the end of the first quarter, 3622 at halftime and 50-34 through three quarters.

Williams had 11 points while Lute had 10, Dalton had seven, Delt had six and Huie and five.

Pocola dumps Stigler

Pocola (7-3), the second-ranked team in Class 2A, defeated Stigler 67-39 at home on Tuesday.

Pocola led 18-9 at the end of the first quarter, 4017 at halftime and 61-31 through three quarters.

Allyssa Parker led Pocola with 18 points while Kail Chitwood and Kylee Smith both had 12, Riley Jerrell had eight and Bailey Lairamore had seven.

Pocola went 8-of-10 at the free-throw line with Smith hitting all six of her attempts.

Talihina falls to Hartshorne

Talihina lost 67-39 to Hartshorne at home on Monday.

Leah Dill scored 11 of her team-high 15 points in the first half. Ryleigh Farris had eight points while Khloe Holland had six.

Red Oak beats LeFlore

Red Oak (14-2), the 10th-ranked team in Class A, defeated LeFlore 62-37 at home on Tuesday.

Red Oak led 22-6 at the end of the first quarter, 3419 at halftime and 46-28 through three quarters.

Kaylee Bryce led Red Oak with 16 points while Kaytee Hood had 12, Lexi Ober had 10 and Jaylee Branscum had five.

Piper Warren led LeFlore with 17 points while Trystan Kirkes had 13 and Alyssa Waits had six.

Panama edges Quinton

Panama (8-4) won 3029 at home against Quinton on Tuesday.

Panama led 14-7 after one quarter, 23-17 at halftime and 26-20 through three quarters. Koda Robbins and Lexi Bell both had seven points while Karlie Anderson had five.

Whitesboro bludgeons

Smithville

Whitesboro led 19-3 at the end of the first quarter, 41-7 at halftime and 58-21 through three quarters.

Madi Edwards led Whitesboro (15-1), the No. 4 team in Class B, with 12 points while Addison Walker had 11, Madison Grogan had 10, Linley Collins had nine and Kayleigh Walker and Darah Cole both had six.

Spiro drops at Roland

Spiro lost 54-31 at Roland on Tuesday.

Spiro trailed 12-4 at the end of the first quarter, 2613 at halftime and 39-23 through three quarters.

Brynleigh Graham led Spiro with 15 points while Kiana Craig had eight and Kaylee Martin had four.

Boys basketball Tigers bop Miners

Talihina beat Hartshorne 51-43 at home on Monday.

After trailing 12-9 at the end of the first quarter, Talihina led 25-23 at halftime and 36-33 through three quarters.

Ramses Hernandez scored 15 points while Kaidon Potts had 14, Eric Rose and Isaiah Lloyd had nine each and Caston Pitcock had four.

Pocola routs Stigler

Pocola (5-5), the ninthranke­d team in Class 2A, defeated Stigler 62-43 in its home opener on Tuesday.

The Indians led 16-9 at the end of the first quarter and fell behind 25-23 by halftime before plowing ahead to a 44-36 advantage by the end of the third quarter.

Garrett Scott and Dakota Terrell tied for Pocola’s team lead with 17 points as Terrell posted 13 of his tally in the second half.

Brayden Hardwick scored nine of his 13 points in the second half. Zac Jones had nine points, and Austin Harwick had six.

Eagles outgun Savages

Red Oak beat LeFlore 84-54 at home on Tuesday as LeFlore was playing without Bo Dacus.

The Eagles led 17-11 at the end of the first quarter, 42-32 at halftime and 6948 through three quarters.

For Red Oak, Denver Hamilton led the way with 22 points while Reed Kauk had 18, Trevor Lyons had 14, Reese Allen had 11 and Tanner Allen had 10.

Rabbit Holly scored 22 points for LeFlore while Braden Pritchett had 15 and Cameron Green had six.

Caldwell lifts Panama

vs. Quinton

Brex Caldwell scored 30 points to lead a 51-48 win at home against Quinton on Tuesday.

Panama (6-5) led 13-12 at the end of the first quarter before entering halftime with a 25-23 deficit. The Razorbacks regained the lead at 36-33 by the end of the third quarter.

Caldwell scored nine of Panama’s 13 third-qoarter points and totaled 16 points for the second half.

Tyler Simkins added nine points. Mason Cameron, Gavin Gotes and John Imbush each had four points.

Howe falls at Oktaha

Howe lost 56-41 at Oktaha on Tuesday.

The Lions trailed 12-7 at the end of the first quarter, 29-19 at halftime and 46-34 through three quarters.

Kobe Wooten led Howe with 13 points while Braden Blake had nine Kyler Brown had eight and Brayden Dalton had five.

Spiro falls at Roland

Spiro (4-9) lost 67-36 at Roland on Tuesday.

Spiro trailed 22-7 at the end of the first quarter, 3615 at halftime and 50-32 through three quarters.

Brycen Graham and Coy Clark each had nine points while Zander Riggs had eight and Gabe Perez had five.

McCurtain beats Gans

McCurtain (8-7) beat Gans 75-51 at home on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs led 2020-10 at the end of the first quarter, 39-27 at halftime and 49-37 through three quarters. Luke Sandlin posted 25 points, and Ben Bond added 21.
