Girls basketball Whitesboro downs Arkoma, watches Wright City escape Whitesboro earned a 70-20 Senior Night win against Arkoma on Monday.

Whitesboro scored the first 17 points of the game and finished the opening period leading 23-2. The home squad expanded its advantage to 39-11 by halftime and 59-18 by the end of the third quarter.

Addison Walker led Whitesboro with 21 points, hitting five 3-pointers, while Kayleigh Walker had 15, Madi Edwards had 13, Maura Cole, Madison Grogan and Linley Collins with six each.

Kaitlyn Glasgow led Arkoma with six points and five rebounds. Abby Kolb had five points. Grace Johnson had four points and five rebounds.

Whitesboro lost 54-50 to Wright City at home on Tuesday. Whitesboro trailed 13-10 at the end of the first quarter, 27-19 at halftime and 48-34 through three quarters.

Kayleigh Walker led Whitesboro with 18 points while Collins had 14, Addison Walker had seven, Edwards with five and Grogan with four.

Howe defeats SC Howe (15-5), the No. 8 team in Class 2A, won 59-47 at Sallisaw Central on Tuesday.

Howe led 16-7 at the end of the first quarter, 30-27 at halftime and 44-36 through three quarters.

Kadynce Delt led Howe with 14 points while Slatey Free had 10, Abby Huie had nine, Ashlynn Dalton had eight and Karsyn Nye and Gracie Lute each had seven.

Keota bops Bokoshe

Keota (16-2) beat Bokoshe 61-12 at Bokoshe on Monday.

After shutting out Bokoshe 29-0 in the first quarter, Keota led 40-2 at halftime and 55-9 through three quarters.

Chloee Smith led Keota with 12 points while Saylee Smith had eight and Jaycee Byrd and Skyler Corley had seven each. Kaitlyn Weaver scored 11 points for Bokoshe.

LeFlore defeats Kinta

LeFlore (12-12) won 63-30 at Kinta on Tuesday. LeFlore led 12-9 at the end of the first quarter, 34-17 at halftime and 46-21 through three quarters. Trystan Kirkes led LeFlore with 17 points while River Cogburn had 14, Alyssa Waits had 12 and Piper Warren had eight.

Arkoma beats Bokoshe

Arkoma earned a 52-23 Senior Night win against Bokoshe on Tuesday. For Arkoma, (2-16) Kiarra Butler had 11 points while Glasgow and Rylee Hayes both had 10 points and eight rebounds.

Pocola falls to Hartshorne

Pocola lost 63-52 to Hartshorne at home in Black Diamond Conference play on Monday.

By the 4:56 mark of the first quarter, Pocola fell behind 14-3. Pocola trailed 21-7 at halftime, 34-22 at halftime and 48-37 through three quarters.

A Kail Chitwood 3-pointer put Pocola within 48-42 with 6:45 left.

Bailey Lairamore led Pocola with 21 points (17 in the second half) while Chitwood had 17, Allyssa Parker had 10 and Kylee Smith had four.

McCurtain falls

at Quinton

McCurtain lost 49-37 at home to Quinton on Monday. After a 9-all tie to end the first quarter, McCurtain trailed 27-20 at halftime and 29-23 through three quarters.

Bailey Bennett led McCurtain with 15 points. McCurtain beat Canadian 55-48 on Tuesday.

BV bumps Wetumka

Buffalo Valley (21-4, ranked eighth in Class B), won 61-47 at Wetumka on Tuesday.

Kelsey Cauthron scored 14 points while Courtney Grey and Mykayla Hayes had 12 each, Addi Wright had 11 and Emma Roberts had seven.

Boys basketball Mustangs escape Bulldogs, beat Tigers

Arkoma won 34-33 at Whitesboro on Monday as Carl Brake blocked a shot with less than half a second left. Arkoma led 12-6 at the end of the first quarter and 18-11 at halftime. Whitesboro tied it 21-all by the end of the third quarter.

Deuce Walden led Arkoma with 16 points, nine rebounds, and four steals. Jordan Karich added eight points while Braylen Andrews had four points and five rebounds and Brake had three points, 11 rebounds and five steals.

Walden collected 24 points five rebounds and five assists in Arkoma’s 60-26 Senior Night win against Bokoshe on Tuesday. Andrews had 10 points and seven rebounds. Brent Lindsey had nine points. Karich had eight points and seven assists.

Smith leads Howe to win Garrett Smith scored a game-high 24 points to lead Howe’s 55-47 win at Sallisaw Central on Tuesday.

Howe (6-15) led 10-7 at the end of the first quarter, 24-20 at halftime and 34-24 through three quarters.

Braden Blake added 12 points, and Kobe Wooten had 11.

Indians rout Miners

Pocola beat Hartshorne 83-51 at home on Monday.

The Indians led 23-18 at the end of the first quarter, 39-25 at halftime and 63-39 through three quarters.

Garrett Scott led Pocola with 29 points while Dakota Terrell had 21, Austin Hardwick had 11, Brayden Hardwick had nine and Zac Jones had six.

Spiro slips vs. Roland

Spiro (6-15) lost 69-60 in overtime at home to Roland on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs trailed 14-9 at the end of the first quarter, 29-20 at halftime and 49-39 through three quarters before tying it 57-all by the end of regulation.

Zander Riggs led Spiro with 17 points while Brycen Graham had 12 and Coy Clark and Tommy Worton each had eight.

LeFlore falls at Kinta

LeFlore (12-9) lost 58-41 at Kinta on Tuesday.

The Savages trailed 17-10 at the end of the first quarter, 36-24 at halftime and 49-29 through three quarters.

Cameron Green led LeFlore with 15 points while J.J. Cogburn had nine, Bo Dacus had seven and Braden Pritchett had six.

Lions beat Tigers

Keota won 61-40 at Bokoshe on Monday.

The Lions led 20-11 at the end of the first quarter, 33-13 at halftime and 51-29 through three quarters.

Seth Stout led Bokoshe with 19 points while Jon Goodman had 15.

Gunner Hill led Keota with 18 points while Mason Edwards and Beau McKenzie had 10 each.

McCurtain rips Quinton

McCurtain beat Quinton 63-47 at home on Monday. After trailing 15-14 at the end of the first quarter, McCurtain led 27-24 at halftime and 42-35 through three quarters.

Clayne Honeycutt led McCurtain with 17 points while Luke Sandlin had 15. McCurtain won 49-29 at Canadian on Tuesday.
