Don’t forget to spring forward tonight; PDN promotions upcoming
As Poteau Daily News editor, I believe it’s my duty to inform people of changes or things coming up.
Please don’t kill the messenger, but it’s my duty to remind you all that Daylight Savings Time kicks in early Sunday morning — or more like when we go to bed tonight.
We’ll be springing forward — yippee!!!
This ol’ man has issues when trying to get my body accustomed to springing forward. I’ll see how I do this weekend.
The Poteau Daily News
is planning some promotions this month, April and May.
The concrete ones in March will be the St. Patrick’s
Day Salute in Thursday’s edition, the Salute to National Red Cross Month on March 21 and the Spring Sports Guide on March 30.
In April, we’re going to do an Easter Salute in the April 4 and our Spring Home and Garden special section also in April, with the date of publication not quite set in stone.
We’ll do our annual Graduation special sections with group photographs of graduating seniors/graduates and senior biographies, but the advertisement rate has not been set by our corporate superiors just yet but is being worked on.
Get with either myself or PDN Advertising Representative Michelle Wann by telephone at (918) 6473188 or by e-mail — editor@poteaudailynews. com or michellewann@ poteaudailynews.com.
As Poteau Kiwanis Club president, I want to thank all of you who stopped by last Saturday morning’s annual all-youcan-eat pancake breakfast.
We saw 98 patrons visit, and our local civic organization raised greater than $2,600 for our projects, the first one being the 2023 Little Olympics, slated for 6 p.m. April 13 at Costner Stadium. The rainout date will be 6 p.m. April 27.
