Commissioners re-up Burris with KiBois board
The LeFlore County Board of Commissioners re-appointed Henry Burris Sr. to the KiBois Community Action Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors Monday morning during the regular business meeting. This appointment will have an expiration date of March 11, 2027.
The commissioners also heard from Gerald Woodral, who was there as a representative of the Sheriff’s Department to speak with the commissioners about the use of Connex storage containers for evidence.
Woodral said he would like to have three of these containers.
He would also need mini-split air conditioning units for temperature control, and the containers would need locks and a fence as well.
The board chose to table the discussion until Woodral could return with the total costs involved in the project.
The commissioners took action on several other agenda items during the meeting, including:
- Approving 32A claim as presented for project 36556(04) for lake access at Kerr Lake.
The cost will be $214.269.69.
- Approving the oath of office for appointment to the LeFlore County Fair Board, as submitted by Logan Rea.
- Approving LeFlore County right of way crossing and permit application for construction within county right of way located at 24919 Wolf Mountain Road.
The Budget Board for LeFlore County met on Monday morning, as well.
The board approved a transfer of $25,000 from the Jail Bond account to the Jail-1A Personal Services account to cover a shortage in payroll for March 2024.
The motion passed with all board members voting yes.
