Baglietto MV19

Sometimes a design lights a fire. To my eye, Baglietto created the MV13 in 2014 to do just that, and the halo effect burned brightly as it showed a new path for this Liguria-based builder of aluminum-hulled fast superyachts. Now Baglietto once again draws on its experience building military patrol boats to introduce the MV19, a 64-foot design from Francesco Paszkowski that evokes the shape of the 45-foot MV13 and adds to her legacy. The first build of the MV19 will have a three-stateroom layout with a master in the bow and a spacious dinette and galley amidships. Custom styling is by Margharita Casprini, and the aluminum hull will be propelled by a pair of 1,800-horsepower MAN V-12 diesels for an expected top speed of 40 knots. baglietto.com —Jason Y. Wood
