Rams to host open practices at training camp
The Rams will open 11 days of practice to fans during training camp at UC Irvine starting July 24, the team announced Wednesday.

UC Irvine has been the Rams' training-camp base since they moved back to Los Angeles from
St. Louis in 2016. In 2020, they held training camp at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks as NFL teams remained at their regular-season practice facilities in the early months of COVID-19.
Last summer, the Rams returned to Irvine but prohibited autographs and other interaction between players and fans as a pandemic precaution. The Rams have not released any information about any changes to this policy.

The team will host four practices that are closed to the public but open to media from July 24 to 27. No practices will be held July 28, Aug. 2 and Aug. 7.
Training camp is expected to find coach Sean McVay turning up the intensity after the Rams lightened their workload in spring workouts because they played a long season in winning Super Bowl LVI.
It will be the first chance for fans to see new acquisitions in Rams gear, including linebacker Bobby Wagner and wide receiver Allen Robinson.
Position battles are likely for at least two positions. At outside linebacker, Justin Hollins is the leading veteran but Terrell
Lewis and Chris Garrett could compete for the spot left open when Von Miller signed with the Buffalo Bills. At right guard, second-round draft pick Logan Bruss (Wisconsin), Coleman Shelton and Tremayne Anchrum are contenders to replace Austin Corbett, who signed with the Carolina Panthers.
The health of cornerback Jalen Ramsey, quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Kyren Williams will be watched.
Ramsey had left shoulder surgery June 21 but is expected to be good to go for the start of the regular season. Stafford had an injection to ease discomfort in his throwing arm after the Super Bowl and didn't throw passes in spring workouts but said he would be ready to throw by training camp. Williams, a fifth-round draft pick out of Notre Dame, broke a foot June 1, and the Rams said he should return to the field in training camp.
The Rams have preseason games Aug. 13 against the Chargers (a Chargers home game); Aug. 19 against the Houston Texans at SoFi Stadium; and Aug. 27 on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals.
They open the regular season Thursday, Sept. 8, against the Bills at SoFi Stadium.
