The celebrity-driven Wahlburgers chain, owned by the three Wahlberg brothers — Mark, Donnie and Paul — is holding a second anniversary promotion at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon.

Through Aug. 6, the restaurant will serve brews for $2 and will temporarily offer Fiesta Burgers and Fiesta Fries for $19.99 each.

The Fiesta Burger is made with a half-pound of ground beef, seasoned with a made-from-scratch Southern spice mix and topped with jalapenos, lettuce, pepper Jack cheese, sweet pepper and smoked onion salsa, chipotle aioli and house pickles. The Fiesta Fries are cooked to a golden brown and seasoned with the same Southern spice mix.

In July 2021, Morongo became the first and only tribal casino in the nation to host a Wahlburgers. It was the chain's third location in Southern California, with the others in West Hollywood and USC Village.

The franchise was popularized by the 2014 reality series “Wahlburgers” on A&E, which aired until 2019. On the show, Paul Wahlberg, a professional chef, works to maintain his own vision for the restaurants with input from Mark, Donnie and their strongwilled mother, Alma, who died in April 2021.

According to Paul Wahlberg, the chain aims to emphasize family cooking and to reflect the tastes and values of Boston, where he was raised. The restaurant serves four styles of burgers, priced at $12.95$17.95, and other dishes likes chicken sandwiches, salads, and appetizers like crisp fried pickles, truffle fries, sweet chile-glazed chicken tenders and Buffalo chicken Wahlbites.

The restaurant is west of the casino's main entrance and started with a major expansion launched in 2019. The site was formerly a parking lot and a Sideline Bar & Grill, which opened in June 2020.

Wahlburgers at Morongo is open from 11:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sundays-Wednesdays and 11:30 a.m.-midnight Thursdays-Sundays.
