Chris Rock asked me out, says Jada Pinkett Smith
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's marriage has been a topic of interest for many in recent years, even to Chris Rock, according to Pinkett Smith. “Every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce,” Pinkett Smith told People magazine. “And this particular summer, Chris, he thought that we were getting a divorce. So he called me and basically he was like, `I'd love to take you out.'” Pinkett Smith said she was taken aback by the call.
“I was like, `What do you mean?' He was like, `Well, aren't you and Will getting a divorce?' I was like, `No. Chris, those are just rumors,'” Pinkett Smith recalled. “He was appalled. And he profusely apologized and that was that.”
Pinkett Smith writes about the encounter in her forthcoming memoir, “Worthy.” CNN has reached out to representatives for Rock for comment.
Her husband, Will Smith, slapped Rock as he was presenting an award during the 2022 Oscars telecast after Rock made a joke about Pinkett Smith being bald. She also said she and Smith have lived “completely separate lives” since 2016in an interview with Hoda Kotb.

Pete Davidson says his mom is a “good catch,” so he wants to help her find a boyfriend.
Davidson hit “The Tonight Show” and told host Jimmy Fallon that his mom will be in the audience when he hosts “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.
“She's very excited,” Davidson said of his mom. “She actually has been on the show almost as many times as I have! ... And I'm really excited, just because, like, I'm trying to find my mom someone to date.”
He added, “She hasn't been with anybody in like 23 years. So, like, yeah! And she's a good catch.”
