Attack on Israel

“We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us” — Golda Meir. The prime minister was wrong about those who support Hamas and Hezbollah. They celebrate their children dying while killing Jews. Those both here and abroad who support Palestinians' hatred for and attacks on Israel are wrong about it being a struggle over independence and prosperity or oppressor vs. the oppressed. It is about the right of Israel and the Jewish people to exist. Without that basic mutual acceptance there can be no peace. We are witnessing a great evil being committed against people in Israel. The struggle of good vs. evil in today's world is real and we are all experiencing it. We must pray for wisdom and then act to fight evil.

Hamas-Israel war

Former President Trump and the Republican Party need to share the blame for this Hamas-Israel war. When President Trump pulled out of President Obama's Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, which by the way was approved by our European allies, he opened the door for the Iranian hard-liners to take over and as a result helped Hamas to grow stronger, which got them strong enough and brave enough to invade and attack Israel. And now with the destruction of Gaza, the hate is never going to go away and will last till Christ comes back. So much for the peace process.

Hamas attack

There are many aggressions on both sides of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. The loss of life is tragic for both sides. Israel's extreme-right positions and lack of effort toward a two-state solution remind me of a statement by Ulysses S. Grant in his memoir published in 1885. In regard to disputed territory far from Mexican settlements: “We were sent to provoke a fight, but it was essential that Mexico should commence it. Once initiated there were but few public men who would have the courage to oppose it.” Was Israel really blindsided by the Hamas attack? Or does it put Israel right where it wants to be, further expanding its territory?
