PROJECT NOTE
This quilt could be made with scraps, fat eighths or fat quarters of a variety of fabrics. Batiks are very good blenders, so batik scraps would work together to give the quilt a feeling of coordinating colors.
CUTTING From light green batik:
• Cut 4 (37/ 8" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 34 (37/ 8") F squares. From dark green batik:
• Cut 4 (37/ 8" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 34 (37/ 8") squares. Cut each square in half on 1 diagonal to make 68 B triangles. From purple batik:
• Cut 8 (21/4" by fabric width) binding strips. From medium yellow batik:
• Cut 6 (37/ 8" by fabric width) strips.
Subcut strips into 52 (37/ 8") D squares. From pale yellow batik:
• Cut 13 (37/ 8" by fabric width) strips.
Subcut strips into 122 (37/ 8") E squares.
• Cut 7 (31/2" by fabric width) strips.
Subcut strips into 68 (31/2") C squares.
• Cut 3 (43/4" by fabric width) strips.
Subcut strips into 17 (43/4") A squares.
• Cut 8 (11/2" by fabric width) I/J strips.
COMPLETING THE PIECED UNITS
1. Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of each E square and 18 D squares.

3. Repeat step 2 to make a total of 68 E-F units referring to Figure 2.
4. Repeat step 2 using E squares and three H squares from each H square set to make 108 E-H units, again referring to Figure 2.
5. Repeat step 2 with the marked D squares and the remaining H squares to make 36 D-H units, again referring to Figure 2.
