Quilter's World

Editor’s Letter

- Carolyn S. Vagts, editor

So much of the time our quilt projects are determined by a measurement of available time. Things we truly want to try or experience are put on hold because our busy lives require it. Our desires are put aside for another time and we settle for something else. Well, settling can also be exciting if you allow yourself to capture the moment and embrace quick and easy projects. Give yourself permission to either make a quick project or select one that is a bit more time-consuming to make as a project that is done over time.

Think about your available free time and how you want to truly spend it. Are you in need of a quick gift or maybe a fun project to make this weekend? If so, we have it in this issue. Or are you looking for a substantial project that you can work on through the spring and summer, and maybe design a room around? Well, we have that also. We have a project for any time you have available, and with your own personal touches you can make it your own. We have projects that can be completed in a day or a weekend, or maybe one you can work on over a period of time when you have a free afternoon or a couple of hours.

This issue is bursting with beautiful quilts from some of the most creative designers today. So turn the pages, pick a project, and have some fun! Enjoy!
