Autumn Star Table Topper

This classic design is the perfect project to kick off the autumn season.

MATERIALS

• 1/4 yard brown tonal • 1/3 yard orange tonal • 1/2 yard gold tonal • 3/4 yard burgundy tonal • 7/8 yard purple tonal • Backing to size • Batting to size • Thread • Basic sewing tools and supplies

CUTTING

From brown tonal: • Cut 1 (37/8" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 4 (37/8") E squares and 4 (31/2") H squares. Cut each E square in half on 1 diagonal to make 8 E triangles. From orange tonal: • Cut 1 (61/2" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 1 (61/2") A square

and 8 (37/8") F squares. From gold tonal: • Cut 2 (37/8" by fabric width) strips. Subcut strips into 16 (37/8") C squares. Cut 4 squares in half on 1 diagonal to make 8 C triangles. • Cut 1 (31/2" by fabric width) strip.

Subcut strip into 8 (31/2") D squares. From burgundy tonal: • Cut 1 (37/8" by fabric width) strip.

Subcut strip into 4 (37/8") B squares. • Cut 4 (11/2" by fabric width) strips. Trim strips to make 2 each 11/2" x 241/2"

I strips and 11/2" x 261/2" J strips. • Cut 4 (21/4" by fabric width)

binding strips. From purple tonal: • Cut 1 (67/8" by fabric width) strip. Subcut strip into 4 (67/8") squares. Cut each square in half on 1 diagonal to make 8 G triangles. • Cut 4 (41/2" by fabric width) strips. Trim strips to make 2 each 41/2" x 261/2"

K strips and 41/2" x 341/2" L strips.
