Here's a Tip

Some quilters use a dab of fabric glue stick to hold the seam allowance in place on the freezer paper. This makes it a little more difficult to remove the freezer paper, but it does make the edges stick down and gives a crisp edge to the shape.

Mylar template plastic may be used instead of freezer paper. The pieces may be used over and over again.

Spray sizing (not spray starch) is another alternative that provides a stiff edge for turning.
