CUT­TING

From print fat quar­ters or scraps: • Cut 32 (2" x 20") J strips. From hot pink tonal: • Cut 2 (4" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 3 (4" x 20") A strips

and 1 (3" x 20") D strip. • Cut 1 (11/2" by fab­ric width) strip.

Sub­cut strip into 2 (11/2" x 20") B strips. • Cut 1 (21/2" by fab­ric width) strip. Sub­cut strip into 1 each 21/2" x 20" C strip

and 11/2" x 20" B strip (to to­tal 3 B strips). From co­ral tonal: • Cut 2 (4" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 3 (4" x 20") E strips

and 1 (3" x 20") H strip. • Cut 1 (11/2" by fab­ric width) strip.

Sub­cut strip into 2 (11/2" x 20") F strips. • Cut 1 (21/2" by fab­ric width) strip. Sub­cut strip into 1 each 21/2" x 20" G strip and 11/2" x 20" F strip (to to­tal 3 F strips). From pink tonal: • Cut 5 (21/4" by fab­ric width) bind­ing strips. From large-scale rose print: • Cut 3 (91/2" by fab­ric width) strips.

Sub­cut strips into 12 (91/2") I squares.

COM­PLET­ING THE SEG­MENTS

1. Join four dif­fer­ent J strips with right sides to­gether along length; press. Add an A strip to one long side and a B strip to the other long side to make an A-B-J strip set; press. Re­peat to make a sec­ond A-B-J strip set. 2. Sub­cut the strip sets into 12 (2" x 11") A-B-J seg­ments as shown in Fig­ure 1.

3. Re­fer­ring again to Fig­ure 1, re­peat steps 1 and 2 with E, F and J strips and sub­cut strip sets into 12 (2" x 11") E-F-J seg­ments.
