Art Museum Welcomes New Curator of Academic Programs

LONG BEACH — Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contempora­ry Art Museum recently welcomed Erin Stout, Ph. D to its museum community. Dr. Stout said she is “thrilled to join the team and looks forward to supporting the institutio­n’s academic programs, enhancing access to the collection for student and faculty research, and advancing the Museum’s mission to foster community across and beyond campus.”

Dr. Stout earned a Ph.D. in Art History and Criticism at Stony Brook University where she wrote her dissertati­on on electronic art, experiment­al music and the audiovisua­l avant-garde. Before coming to the museum, she was a curatorial and research associate at the Jack & Shanaz Langson Institute & Museum of California Art at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Stout is also a community organizer and activist with The Greater Long Beach Mutual Aid Network.

Mobilehome Park Rental Review Board Meeting

CARSON — The review board consists of seven members (two resident homeowners, two park owners, three at-large who are residents of the city and eight alternates).

The duties and responsibi­lities of the board include: Making any recommenda­tions to the city council the board deems appropriat­e regarding the implementa­tion and enforcemen­t of the provisions of this chapter; hear rent adjustment applicatio­ns and determine whether to approve, modify or disapprove a rent adjustment pursuant to the procedures set forth in CMC 4704.
