Everyday internet
Online at RappNews.com, our weekly poll asked how, and how often, respondents use the web. With 50-plus responses as of Wednesday, the unscientific but unsurprising results: We use it mostly for email and social media browsing. And we use it every day.
Asked if they used the internet daily, 100 percent of respondents answered “Yes.” Not a shocking result, considering this poll was offered online.
Business use, personal or both? More than 80 percent said “both”; 17 percent said “personal.”
And what do we do online? From the top: Email, browsing social media, news, shopping, texting/ messaging, streaming videos/music, and other. Other activities noted by respondents included gaming, payments and banking, and research for both business and school.
One “Other” respondent took the opportunity to complain about the “exercise in frustration” of trying to use cell signals to access the web, for work, when in Rappahannock. “I am so sick of a small contingent of old timers . . . blocking any reasonable progress in this county. Internet, mobile is a
fact of life. Just like telephones used to be.”
