Sperryvill­e Volunteer Rescue Squad and Sperryvill­e Volunteer Fire Department host a meeting this Sunday (July 31) to discuss their community services and the urgent need for new volunteers to support these and other similar organizati­ons in the county. Piedmont Softball Associatio­n is accepting registrati­ons for all area girls ( born 1996-2009) at all skill levels interested in its fastpitch softball programs this fall.
