➤ The Town of Washington’s Planning Commission meets 7 p.m. Aug. 29 at town hall to continue the town’s comprehensive plan review. Members of the public are welcome and are encouraged to attend.
➤ Fauquier Habitat for Humanity will hold a community meeting every Thursday at 5 p.m. at Willis Chapel United Methodist Church, 1804 Zachary Taylor Highway, Huntly, to discuss the Habitat Home being built at 2650 Zachary Taylor Highway. ➤ Blue Ridge Heritage Project’s upcoming meetings are 6:30 p.m. Oct. 11 and Dec. 13 at the Rappahannock Library, for any and all interested in the memorial to be built in Rappahannock County honoring those displaced from their homes and land in Rappahannock when Shenandoah National Park was created. ➤ For performances by the Blue Ridge Chorale in early December at Prince Michel Vineyard and the State Theatre, a dress rehearsal will be held at Dogwood Village in Orange County, starting with adult choir at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29, and youth choir 5:45 p.m. Sept. 5.
