➤ The Town of Washington’s Planning Commission meets 7 p.m. Aug. 29 at town hall to continue the town’s comprehens­ive plan review. Members of the public are welcome and are encouraged to attend.

➤ Fauquier Habitat for Humanity will hold a community meeting every Thursday at 5 p.m. at Willis Chapel United Methodist Church, 1804 Zachary Taylor Highway, Huntly, to discuss the Habitat Home being built at 2650 Zachary Taylor Highway. ➤ Blue Ridge Heritage Project’s upcoming meetings are 6:30 p.m. Oct. 11 and Dec. 13 at the Rappahanno­ck Library, for any and all interested in the memorial to be built in Rappahanno­ck County honoring those displaced from their homes and land in Rappahanno­ck when Shenandoah National Park was created. ➤ For performanc­es by the Blue Ridge Chorale in early December at Prince Michel Vineyard and the State Theatre, a dress rehearsal will be held at Dogwood Village in Orange County, starting with adult choir at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29, and youth choir 5:45 p.m. Sept. 5.
