Ada Helen (née Clatterbuc­k) Carr, 80, passed into the arms of her Savior on Sept. 23, 2016, at her home in Nichols, S.C.

Born Dec. 1, 1935 in Harman, W.Va., she was the daughter Parren Harman Clatterbuc­k and Ella Mae (Teter) Clatterbuc­k.

A graduate of Harman High School, she retired after 20 year as a payroll clerk for First Colony Homes in Calverton, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Niles Wayne Campbell; three brothers, Norman Clatterbuc­k, Gifford Clatterbuc­k, Parren Clatterbuc­k, Jr.; and five sisters, Elma (Clatterbuc­k) Parks, Hope (Clatterbuc­k) Bland, Opal (Clatterbuc­k) Weese, May (Clatterbuc­k) Mellot, and Barbara (Clatterbuc­k) Houck.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Robert Glenn Carr, Nichols, S.C.; sister Mearle (Clatterbuc­k) Bonner, Westminste­r, Md.; sister-in-law Marci (Harper) Clatterbuc­k, Baltimore, Md.; three sons, Niles Steven Campbell, Orlean, Va., John Patrick Campbell, Front Royal, Va., and Wayne Timothy Campbell, Winchester, Va.; daughter Alicia Dawn (Carr) Randall, Buxton, N.C.; two step-sons Robert Allen Carr, Struthers, Ohio, and John Glenn Carr, New Waterford, Ohio; as well as 10 grandchild­ren and three great grandchild­ren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family gratefully thanks the staff of Agape Hospice and the loving members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Nichols, S.C., for their kind, compassion­ate care and assistence extended to Ada during an extended period of illness.

A memorial service will be held at a future date to be determined.
