Sheriff’s Report for Oct. 27
The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office released the following arrest reports this week:
On Oct. 9, Sgt. M. Dodson encountered a vehicle while responding to a residential burglar alarm on Rock Mills Road. The driver of the vehicle, Kenneth Eugene Bennett, 39, of Winchester, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
On Oct. 17, Dodson investigated a single-vehicle crash on Lee Highway near the 211 Quicke Mart. The driver of the vehicle, Paul Owen Fincham, 32, of Sperryville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
On Oct. 18, Dodson investigated a vehicle crash on Viewtown Road. The vehicle’s driver, Albin John Reder, 35, of Marshall, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Last Friday (Oct. 21), Dodson attempted to stop a vehicle on Zachary Taylor Highway for a traffic violation, which drove off. The driver, Gary Lee Allison, 39, of Front Royal, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and eluding police. Also last Friday, Deputy R. McCormack stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Zachary Taylor Highway in Flint Hill. As a result, Joshua McCullough, 19, of Amissville, was charged with possession of marijuana.
On Sunday (Oct. 23), McCormack stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Lee Highway near Weathersfield Lane. The driver, Ashar Kahn, 37, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
