Mildred Elizabeth Timbers

Mildred Elizabeth Timbers, 94, of Woodville, VA passed away at Novant UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Saturday, December 10, 2016. She was born to John Henry Kilby and Mary Ella Smith on August 29, 1922 in Rappahanno­ck County, VA. Surviving Mrs. Timbers are her sons, Lincoln (Norma) Timbers of Culpeper, Bobbie Timbers of Etlan, Lacy (Debbie) Timbers of Culpeper and David (Amy) Timbers of Woodville; her grandchild­ren, Shelly Timbers of Etlan and Joseph (Jacqueline) Timbers of Culpeper and her greatgrand­daughter, Hanna Timbers. She is also survived by her sisters Polly Dennis of Culpeper and Irene Timbers of Woodville and many much loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Timbers and brothers: Charles, William “Willie”, James Wilson and John Kilby Jr and two loved daughter-in-law's: Christine and Betty. In her younger days Mrs. Timbers was a great traveler. She was always up for cruises, bus trips, family trips to the Outer Banks or anyplace really. She was also a willing baker and cook for any event with her fruit pizza being an often requested item. No matter where she went Mrs. Timbers always had a friend, even if it was one she had just met. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 15103 Rixeyville Road, Culpeper, VA 22701 where she was a long standing member on January 14 at 1PM. The family will follow this with a less formal gathering to share memories, tears and laughter to celebrate the joy and love she brought to so many. This will be held at the Reva Fire and Rescue, 18230 Birmingham Rd, Culpeper, VA 22701.
