Thomas Oliver “Timmy” Williams, 73, of Chester Gap, VA, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Jim Williams and Rev. Jimmy Burke. Burial followed in Williams Family Cemetery in Chester Gap. Mr. Williams was born January 7, 1943 in Front Royal, VA son of the late Walter H. Williams and Hannah Marie Pearson Williams. He retired as a HVAC mechanic. Mr. Williams was a member of Front Royal Moose Lodge and attended Open Hearts Ministries. Surviving are three sons Thomas O. Williams, Jr. and wife Becky of Salem, VA, Jeffrey Todd Williams and wife Nancy of Gerrardstown, WV, and Anthony Craig Williams and wife Tawana of Amissville, VA; one brother Jimmy Williams of Chester Gap; one sister Louise Mathews of Browntown, VA; six grandchildren Lacey Williams, Tyler Williams, Todd Barrett Williams, Taylor Callahan, Taryn Williams, and Olivia Williams; and one great-granddaughter Autumn Hessan. He was preceded in death by his brother Walter H. “Bobby” Williams. Pallbearers will be Kevin Williams, Tommy Williams, Rodney Williams, Michael Ray Williams, Kevin Fristoe, and Jimmy “J.W.” Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Barrett Williams, Tyler Williams, Mickey Williams, Jeff Leake, and Rick Mathews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Open Hearts Ministries, PO Box 283, Front Royal, VA 22630.
