Issues and trends surfaced in a 2015 survey conducted by the UVA Center for Survey Research. For the Cats’ Sake is a nonprofit organizati­on dedicated to spaying and neutering stray, feral and domestic cats, and thereby reducing the incidence of unwanted litters in Rappahanno­ck and surroundin­g counties. Rapp at Home, a membership organizati­on, supports the day-today living needs of the community's seniors and helps seniors stay in their homes as they age. Services include transporta­tion, grocery delivery, prescripti­on pickups and several social activities each month. Its Plant a Row Program also encourages Rappahanno­ck gardeners to plant a little extra for the Pantry.
