Almighty tourist dollar

Candidates for the board of supervisors, Mr. [David] Konick and Ms. [Christine] Smith, say they oppose putting any dollars into promoting tourism. What’s their funding solution — property taxes?

Tourism is one of the ways we can bring in revenue while keeping our rural character! It’s also a source of employment. Artistry, B&B’s, restaurants, wineries, breweries and farm products are important to our economy and a promising source of tax revenue.
