Jerry Nelson King

Jerry Nelson King passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and loved ones Thursday, June 7. He was born November 15, 1935. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Helen Kig and one brother, Edsel. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sue King of Haywood, Va., two sons, Jerry (wife Tara and daughter Sarah) of Woodville and Doug of Indiana. He is also survived by one daughter, Teresa King of Indiana, along with 5 grandchildren). Jerry also has 5 remaining siblings; Wayne, Jim, Melvin, Deloris and Myrna, all of Indiana. Jerry was a graduate of Perdue University and then served in the U.S. Navy. He later retired from management at Keller Mfg. Jerry was an avid gardener and loved his pets. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as watching sports. The family will be holding private services.
