Tim Carrington
worked for 15 years for The Wall Street Journal, covering finance, defense and international economics. He later worked at the World Bank, launching a training program in economic journalism for reporters and editors in Africa and the former Soviet Union and subsequently served as senior communications officer for the Africa Region. He and his wife, Merrill, split their time between Washington, D.C., and Rappahannock County.
Randy Rieland
was a newspaper and magazine journalist for 25 years. He also was head of digital media for the Discovery Channel. He now writes for Smithsonian.com and AARP. He and his wife, Carol, have a home off Tiger Valley Road.
Sara Schonhardt
is a former staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal in Indonesia. She reported from around Southeast Asia for more than 10 years for the International Herald Tribune, Christian Science Monitor and Voice of America, among others. Her most recent reporting has focused on rural communities in southern Ohio.
Laura Stanton
is an award-winning artist who specializes in infographics, having spent more than two decades on the staffs of The Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune and the Dallas Morning News. She is a partner in LaVidaCo Communications and teaches at the University of Missouri Journalism School.
Luke Christopher
is a "Best of D.C." photographer who has been published in The Washington Post, The Washington Times and Miami New Times. He lives in Tiger Valley.
