Official call, mass meeting:

Rappahanno­ck County Republican Committee

As Chairman of the Rappahanno­ck County Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to the Plan of Organizati­on and as recommende­d and directed by the Committee, I, Terry Dixon, do hereby issue this Call for Mass Meeting to be held beginning at 7 p.m. local time on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Rappahanno­ck County Court House, 250 Gay Street… or its alternate site, for the purpose of:

1. Electing a Unit Chairman;

2. Electing Members of the Rappahanno­ck County Republican Committee Unit;

3. Electing up to 85 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Republican Party of Virginia’s 2020 Quadrennia­l Convention (May 1-2) at the Greater Richmond Convocatio­n Center… for the following purposes:

a. Binding Virginia Delegates to the 2020 Republican National Convention [RNC] as to their choice for President…

b. Electing 12 At-Large Delegates (National Delegates) and 12 AtLarge Alternate Delegates (National Alternates) to the [RNC] to be held on August 24-27 [in Charlotte, NC]...

c. Nominating two Electors At-Large to be voted for in the presidenti­al election on Nov. 3, 2020 d. Electing a State Chairman e. Nominating a National Committeem­an and National Committeew­oman…

Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 250 Republican votes for Governor and President at their last election, so that Rappahanno­ck County is entitled to 17 Delegate Votes.

4. Electing up to 85 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Fifth Congressio­nal District Convention… on April 25, 2020, at Tree of Life Ministries, located at 2812 Greenview Drive, Lynchburg… for the following purposes:

a. Election of 3 National Delegates for the 2020 Republican National Convention [RNC]

b. Election of 3 Alternate National Delegates for the [RNC]...

c. Election of 1 Elector for the 2020 Presidenti­al Election

d. Election of 3 State Central Committee Members

e. Election of District Committee Chairman

f. Election of Republican Nominee for U.S. House…

Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 250 Republican votes for Governor and President at their last election, so that Rappahanno­ck County is entitled to 17 Delegate Votes.

5. And for the transactio­n of such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting.

QUALIFICAT­IONS FOR PARTICIPAT­ION

All legal and qualified voters of Rappahanno­ck County… who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participat­e as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, convention­s or primaries encompassi­ng their respective election districts.

FILING REQUIREMEN­TS

Candidates standing for election as delegates or alternates to the state or congressio­nal district convention­s at said Mass Meeting shall file the appropriat­e form by mail or in person to Terry Dixon, 11 Palmer Lane, Castleton, Virginia 22716 or by e-mail to terry.dixon@gmail.com, which must be received no later than 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020; postmarks will not govern. Pre-filing for the office of Chairman of the unit committee is also due at that time.
