Easter is upon us
The Easter holiday is upon us and this year Easter is going to be different. If your family is selfisolating due to COVID-19 then Easter traditions will have to change. But that doesn’t mean you can’t observe Easter services electronically through your church.
And you can still wear your Easter outfit and hide eggs for the kids. I know I will with my grandchildren.
When you sit down for Easter dinner, don’t forget to pray and thank the Lord above for protection from the coronavirus. Remember to keep a positive attitude and have faith. Otherwise . . .
Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin’ down the bunny trail, hippity hoppin’ Easter’s on its way. Bringin’ every girl and boy, baskets full of Easter joy, things to make your Easter bright and gay.
Happy Easter to everyone.
SINCERE THANKS
There are not enough words to express how thankful I am to everyone who sent cards and emails and made phone calls during the passing of my father, John Burke.
I know that from Heaven he’s aware of your kindness and is looking down on all of us with love. Thank you again for everything. You are so incredible. My heart is filled with gratitude and love.
TREE PLANTING
Fawn Evenson sends word — and this photograph — of Washington Mayor Fred Catlin joining the planting team of Bryan Hufmann, of Friends of the Rappahannock; Fawn Evenson of Little Washington, the organizer of the project; Lynda Webster of Tiger Valley, the original benefactor of the project; and Rito Garcia of Garcia Landscaping; as they plant the first of 130 trees in the town of Little Washington on Tuesday.
The Town of Washington will be even more beautiful — and much greener — with the many new trees.
Stay safe, everybody
