The Rappahanno­ck County Food Pantry will be set up to distribute food boxes via a drive-thru set up. Thursday, 12 noon to 4 p.m., and Saturday 12 noon to 2 p.m. Call (540)-987-5090 for info, 11763 Lee Highway, Sperryvill­e.

The Rappahanno­ck County Library is closed, but there is 24/7 high-speed internet available in the parking lot.

Northern Piedmont Community Foundation has set up an Emergency Response Fund to help those suffering hardship due to the COVID-19 crisis. The Rappahanno­ck County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA) continues to operate 24/7 as Sperryvill­e residents employ the distancing and hygiene practices necessary to protect their own, and the community's, health and well-being. DO NOT flush disinfecta­nt wipes or tissues down the toilet. All wipes MUST be disposed of in the trash. Only human waste and toilet paper may be disposed of in the toilet. At this time, it is critical for everyone to do their part to eliminate unnecessar­y risk to the community and to staff responding to sewer emergencie­s.
