Rapp Radio is back
Rappahannock Radio, with host Kiaya Abernathy, has returned for a new season, brought to you by RAAC’s Claudia Mitchell ArtsFund.
Who better as the season’s rst guest than herbalist and “healer” Teresa Boardwine, what with “these trying times in the age of COVID,” observes Abernathy in her introduction of the founder of the Green Comfort School of Herbal Medicine in Castleton.
You won’t hear a more interesting — and educational — hour-plus-long interview, particularly the unlikely story of how Boardwine, who was born and raised in these Blue Ridge Mountains, albeit three hours’ south of Rappahannock, came to be a county resident and business owner (hint: she stumbled upon Sperryville while living in a village in Italy).
Intro music for the season’s inaugural episode, heard at RappahannockRadio.com, is composed by William Abernathy, late father of the host, with several interspersed songs performed by Kiaya.
The Claudia Mitchell Arts Fund supporting Rappahannock Radio seeks to encourage and sustain the arts in Rappahannock County with the goal of enhancing the quality of community life.
