TONKA HEAVY METAL 8X8

At the heart of this build is a 1960s-era Tonka truck cab, which Ken added onto for nearly a year until he ended up with the four-foot-long, all-metal beast you see here. The entire body (aside from that vintage lower cab section) is fabbed from aluminum and held together with more than 200 aluminum rivets. That Tonka cab had to be widened by 90mm to fit the Nitrorcx 8X8 chassis. It rolls on eight 3.8-inch Pro-line Mashers, it’s powered by four brushed motors and steered by two 277 oz. servos, and it will climb stairs (and most anything else!) all day long.
