Altra 5K Enduro

Although Axialfest is aimed to be mostly fun, there are also diehard racers who compete for bragging rights and trophies, and the event organizers had them covered. Friday morning started with the 5K Enduro, which not only required you to thoroughly prep your rig for competition, but yourself as well, since you had to run the distance alongside your truck! Running over 3.1 miles, the rugged Enduro course snaked throughout the large camp area until you completed the course.

Thankfully for the less in-shape Rcers, the 5K wasn’t the only way to compete. Saturday morning saw the Rock Racing competitors in action, no running required. The competitors ran qualifiers to determine starting position in the main event.

The racecourse was set up in the middle of the campground’s property, and was easily accessible by racers and spectators.
