Idle Adjustment

Now that your engine is properly tuned, you’ll need to adjust the idle to make up for any changes caused by the low-speed needle. Turning the idle screw clockwise increases the size of the carburetor opening and raises the idle speed; turning the screw counterclockwise does the opposite. Set the idle speed high enough to prevent stalling but not so high that the clutch engages.

The idle screw needs to be adjusted to find that sweet spot between the tires turning and the engine dying.
