FINAL WORD

The Losi 22S SCT is an exciting vehicle. All-metal gears in the transmission housing is a plus, and I’m a fan of the transmitterselectable max-throttle settings. Everyone likes to go fast, and this truck gets you to 50+mph, so you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for speed. The truck is a beast with a 3S pack, and the ability to “tame” it with the 75% throttle setting is a great feature.

I’ll be sticking to 2S power, which is more controllable, and in the end, that makes the truck more fun to drive. My only real gripe with the truck is the bottom-load battery system; I like it as a concept, but in actual use, it’s not the convenience you might expect. Not a big deal. Overall, the 22S is a fun truck for all-around short-course fun, with racing DNA that makes for an easy transition to the track if you decide to chase lap times.
