Monsters Attack!

-

It’s hard to imagine now, but back in the late 1990s, RC monster trucks weren’t much of a thing. The Tamiya Clod Buster and Kyosho USA-1 were still going strong and Traxxas was moving lots of Stampedes, but the category wasn’t a hotbed of innovation and new releases. Then Traxxas dropped the T-maxx, and holy cow, nitro monster trucks absolutely took over RC. Since then, we’ve seen the power-pendulum swing back to electric power (thank you, brushless motors and Lipo batteries), but otherwise monster trucking hasn’t slowed down one bit. Right now, two monsters in particularly are getting Rcers fired up, and they’re both in this issue: the red-hot Traxxas Maxx, and the colossal Primal RC Raminator. They couldn’t be more different in terms of size, power, speed, and cost, but would any monster trucker take both in a heartbeat? Yes.
